Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
