The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year. Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings. Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise. The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show. This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December. The ceremony will be aired from 19:00 GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory. She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches. Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women. Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history. He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown. And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record. "To receive a nomination for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament. Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA. "I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
