Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure are included.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
What’s Next?
According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.
Fans can anticipate discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
